Barcelona Thrilled with Senegalese Summer Signing’s Impressive Debut for Barca Atletic

Barcelona defender Mamadou Mbacke Fall made his long-awaited debut over the weekend, receiving praise from manager Rafa Marquez for his performance.
The 20-year-old Senegalese central defender, formerly of Villarreal, joined Barcelona on loan from Los Angeles FC this summer after impressing in Major League Soccer. Despite facing bureaucratic issues that prevented him from playing, Mbacke finally took to the field on Sunday, replacing Sergi Dominguez in the 64th minute.
Alongside fellow countryman Mika Faye, he helped Barca Atletic secure a 2-1 victory against Rayo Majadahonda. Mbacke showcased his abilities by displaying excellent passing skills and remaining vigilant without the ball, solidifying Barcelona’s belief in his potential. Currently on loan until the end of the season, Barcelona retains an option to purchase him for approximately €7m.
