Former Manchester United Star and Champions League Winner Transforms with New Clean-Shaven Look, Long Hair Gone
Former Manchester United star and Champions League-winning No8 has undergone a significant transformation since his time on the pitch. Fifteen years after lifting the European football’s biggest prize in Moscow, the Brazilian midfielder has retired from playing and has now adopted a very different look. From his iconic long braids to a clean-shaven, buzz cut, his appearance has drastically evolved. Let’s take a closer look at the journey and transformation of this former Red Devils’ player, both on and off the pitch.
Former Manchester United player Anderson, who was part of the team’s Champions League-winning squad in 2008, has undergone a significant change in appearance since his retirement in 2019. The Brazilian midfielder, known for his distinctive long braids during his playing career, now sports a much shorter hairstyle and is clean-shaven.
After his impressive debut season at Old Trafford, Anderson’s career didn’t quite reach the expected heights, but he still made 181 appearances for the Red Devils, winning four Premier League titles, the Champions League, Club World Cup, and a League Cup. He also earned eight caps for Brazil.
Since retiring, Anderson has opted for a buzz-cut and has been coaching at Adana Demirspor. He was recently described as a “lazy party animal” by former Man Utd Power Development Trainer Mick Clegg, who believed that Anderson didn’t put in the necessary work to reach his full potential as a player.
Despite the criticism, Anderson’s contributions to Manchester United’s success, particularly during the 2007-2008 season, are still remembered, and he remains a part of the club’s history as a Champions League-winning midfielder.
