Analyzing Barcelona’s Potential Transfer Options Instead of Robert Lewandowski
Barcelona are considering potential replacements for Robert Lewandowski, who is now 35 years old and nearing the end of his career.
While they plan to keep Lewandowski for the 2024-25 season, Barcelona also intend to sign a striker next summer. They are primarily looking to secure a striker on a free transfer, as they have done successfully in recent years, however, Barcelona are also open to spending money on emerging talents.
Sport has compiled a list of 12 potential signings for 2024, but some are unrealistic due to high transfer fees. Victor Osimhen, for example, would cost over €100m, making him unaffordable for Barcelona. Other options include Santiago Gimenez, Jonathan David, Victor Boniface, Youssoufa Moukoko, Moise Kean, Serhou Guirassy, Anthony Martial, Artem Dovbyk, Mehdi Taremi, and Ollie Watkins.
Some of these players fit Barcelona’s criteria, while others do not due to age, contractual obligations, or transfer fees.
