Liverpool remains interested in La Liga forward despite his refusal to make a winter move

Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo is creating a buzz in the transfer market as he is set to remain with the club for the rest of the season, turning down offers from other clubs. However, his future beyond the current season remains uncertain as several top clubs are eyeing the talented 22-year-old.

Kubo rejects offers from Saudi Arabia

Takefusa Kubo has rejected multiple offers from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, despite being offered a substantial salary. His decision to stay at Real Sociedad for the time being is a positive sign for manager Imanol Alguacil, who will be looking to keep hold of the young star for as long as possible.

Prospective Clubs for Kubo

While Kubo has declined to make a move in January, the summer transfer window could see the Japanese sensation considering a move. Premier League clubs and Serie A side Napoli have shown interest, but it is Liverpool who appear to be the most eager to secure his services.

Liverpool’s Interest

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have expressed a strong interest in Kubo, contacting his agents before the January transfer window. However, Kubo is set to stay with Real Sociedad at least until the end of the season. Despite this, Liverpool’s interest remains, and they may come back with a bid in the future.

Price Tag and Real Madrid’s Role

Any club looking to sign Takefusa Kubo will have to pay his release clause of €60m. Real Madrid, who have a clause in his contract, will be entitled to 50% of the transfer fee. Given Kubo’s contributions to Real Sociedad this season, the club has little reason to accept anything less than his full release clause.
