From Famous Premier League Star to Non-League: My Journey
Isaac Sinclair has aspirations of becoming an FA Cup hero, just like his father Trevor, who played in the Premier League and for England. As a player for Curzon Ashton, Sinclair aims to lead his team to the second round proper of the competition, a feat they have accomplished only twice in their history.
Sinclair is well aware of the significance of the FA Cup, having watched his father’s famous overhead kick goal from the edge of the penalty area countless times.
He takes inspiration from his father and values his advice in progressing in the game. Sinclair also looks up to the three World Cup winners from his hometown of Ashton-under-Lyne and hopes to create more memorable moments for his club and town.

Despite being drawn against tough opponents in Barnet, Sinclair believes in his team’s ability to secure victory. Sinclair is not the focal point of the team, as interim player-manager Craig Mahon takes on a more active role on the pitch.
Mahon emphasizes the importance of teamwork and encourages open communication among the players. Sinclair and his teammates are thrilled for the challenge and are determined to make their mark in the FA Cup.
