Egyptian football star Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” has expressed his readiness to play against Fenerbahce in the upcoming local league match, according to reports from the Turkish press. Trabzonspor, currently in sixth place with 16 points in the Turkish league standings, will host Fenerbahce at the Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in the 11th round of the competition tomorrow evening, Saturday.
There were doubts regarding Trezeguet’s participation following his absence in the goalless draw against Fatih Karagumruk last Sunday due to a wrist injury sustained during the warm-up. However, Turkish network A Spor has reported that Trezeguet took part in the last training session in Trabzon and is deemed fit for the match from a medical perspective. His teammate Anastasios Bakasetas also participated in training and is expected to be available for the game.
The injury to Trezeguet’s wrist is not anticipated to hinder his involvement with the Egyptian national team in the forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Djibouti and Sierra Leone this November, as stated by a source during Laila Koura’s statements last Monday.
