Sources: Everton and Tottenham in discussions to restructure Dele Alli deal
Sources revealed that Everton is in discussions with Tottenham Hotspur regarding a possible renegotiation of their deal for Dele Alli. The aim is to avoid a payment of £10 million ($12.2m) when Alli reaches 20 appearances for Everton.
Alli joined Everton in January 2022 through a complex agreement that initially did not involve a transfer fee but included future payments based on his performance. At present, Alli has made 13 appearances for Everton, meaning the club would have to pay Spurs if he plays seven more matches.
Alli, who spent the previous season on loan at Besiktas, is looking to revive his career after undergoing a six-week rehabilitation earlier this year to address childhood traumas such as sexual abuse and drug dealing.

Everton manager Sean Dyche has expressed his willingness to reintegrate Alli into the team as soon as he recovers from a groin injury, although the midfielder is not currently training with the first team.
Everton is currently facing financial difficulties and awaits the results of an independent commission investigation into possible violations of Financial Fair Play regulations, which could result in a deduction of 12 points by the Premier League.
A Tottenham source has indicated that the club is open to finding a mutually agreeable solution following Everton’s request to modify the existing agreement. However, as of now, no changes have been made. Dyche has clarified that Alli is back on the training field but still has a long way to go before fully regaining fitness.
